Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 2026

1. Overview

DataGrid Studio provides AI-powered data analysis and dashboard generation tools. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information (email, profile name, avatar).
  • Uploaded files (Excel/CSV) and associated metadata (filename, size, timestamps).
  • Generated content (dashboards, charts, KPI configs, saved dashboard specs, share links you create).
  • Usage data (AI credit usage, feature interactions, basic diagnostics needed to operate the service).
  • Billing status (subscription state and plan features). We do not store full payment card details in DataGrid Studio.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide core features (imports, dashboards, analysis chat, formula/code helper).
  • Generate outputs you request (charts, insights, summaries, dashboard suggestions).
  • Maintain platform performance, reliability, and security.
  • Prevent abuse and enforce limits (file limits, AI credit limits, rate limiting).
  • Communicate service-related messages (account verification, support, important notices).

4. AI Processing

When you use AI features, your uploaded dataset (or portions needed to answer your request) may be processed by AI systems to produce dashboards, insights, and responses.

  • No AI training: your private datasets are not used to train our AI models.
  • Limitations: AI can be wrong or incomplete. You should verify results before making decisions.

For more details, see our AI Disclosure.

5. Data Retention

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service and as directed by your actions (such as saving or deleting content).

5.1 Uploaded Files & Datasets

Uploaded files remain available in your account until you delete them. If you delete a file, it will no longer be accessible from your account.

5.2 Dashboards, Insights & Share Links

Saved dashboards and generated specs remain in your account until you delete them. Share links you create remain active until you revoke or rotate them (if available in your plan).

5.3 Logs & Diagnostics

We may retain limited diagnostic and security logs for a reasonable period to keep the platform stable, prevent abuse, and investigate issues. These logs are not meant to recreate your full dataset.

5.4 Backups

Deleted data may persist in backups for a limited time as part of normal backup and disaster recovery procedures.

6. Account Deactivation & Deletion

  • Deactivation disables your access, but generally keeps your stored data so you can return later (reactivation requires support).
  • Deletion request is different from deactivation. If you want your account and content deleted, contact support and we will guide you through the process.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
